Uganda being one of the countries in the world with the highest young unemployed population, the organisation is looking to introduce a ‘Social Innovation Academy’, which will equip the local population with skills useable on the labour market. This social innovation academy will help the community to manage and use its idle resources. It will encourage people with business ideas, to come to the development centre, do research and ask for help where possible. We attribute someone who will support their thought, and line up their business mindset to be equipped with some basic business and marketing skills. We will support those with ideas, to become sustainable enterprises and have a starting point from which they can research online and offline in the library and ask for further information by the attributed Business Controller. We try to help this process with the initiative of microcredit foundation, which serves as a cheaper and more accessible alternative for loans.
Our final goal with this idea is to have locally increased income, increased entrepreneurial capacity, reinforced cultural traditions and pride and improved social status.
